Dinosaur Zoo Class; Family Friday

Good Morning!  I had a zoo class on Thursday.  It was all about dinosaurs!  First, I became a paleontologist and discovered dinosaur fossils.

Then I searched for dinosaur eggs with dinosaur babies in them.

We made a book all about dinosaurs.

When we were done with our book, we could choose what to do.  Check out this fossil!

There were some really cool dinosaur puppets.  We also made our own dinosaur costumes!  Watch out for my spikes!

Finally it was time to go see the dinosaurs.

I couldn't wait to see the T-Rex!

It was A LOT of walking, so we had to re-energize with some ice cream!  While we ate, we watched a cow get milked.  I can't wait for the Wisconsin State Fair that's coming up soon so we can see some more cows and other animals.

Dinosaurs are awesome, but nothing tops cars, trucks and trains.

After a full day and no nap, I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.

The fun continues!  Mom and Dad are having a garage sale this weekend.  I had my first lemonade stand yesterday!  Here are some of my famous quotes from yesterday:

"Welcome to my garage sale!"
"Would you like to put your money in my cup?"
"I've made fifty thousand dollars!"

After we closed the garage sale, we went to the park.  It was the same park Mom and Dad had their wedding pictures taken.  They keep asking us to go back there and take our picture, too.  We've done it since we were just walking.

We couldn't leave without feeding the ducks!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Last Friday was our Mom and Dad's 5 year anniversary!  Yeah!!
For some reason, they went out and celebrated without us!  We had the best sitter, Caroline, come hang out with us!

Later on that weekend, we played at the park as a family.



After the park, we went to my friend Ben's house!  He has a BIG dog and a great pool!  We had so much fun and hope to post pictures of that soon.

Wonderful Wednesday

Good afternoon!  We wanted to give you a glimpse at what a wonderful Wednesday looks like for us in the summertime!

First I go to school and while I am at school, Kendall goes to gymnastics.

Nana came to watch my gymnastics class today.  It was a special day!

Shortly after gymnastics ended, it was time to pick up Jackson from school.  Today was a special day because he got to share a story he helped write in class.

I had a lot of fun studying Eric Carle, painting like him, and then writing a story just like he does!  Then we came home and had lunch.  After lunch, it's nap time!  I'll be giving that up soon to get ready for my full days in the fall.

Happy Birthday, Isabella!

Happy Birthday to our cousin Isabella on July 15th!  We decided to surprise her by going to her house for a visit.  Although it didn't end up being a surprise, we had so much fun with her and Cohen.

We played outside and had a lot of fun with the slip-n-slide!

After a yummy picnic dinner, it was time to clean up.  The girls took a pink bath... and the boys green (Jackson chose blue and Cohen chose yellow).

I found a "brush" and decided to brush my hair with it.  I didn't know what vegetable brush meant...

Family Pictures

Well, Mom decided it was time for family pictures.  So... we had them taken on Sunday.  After practicing at home and some bribery, we cooperated for pictures.  Mom said to prepare ourselves for 100 pictures.  Turns out we only took 87.  Out of 87, we chose 6.  (Hey - that's my age plus Sissy's age!  I am starting to get in to adding a bit.)

Weekend Up North

Here we are on our weekend away up North!  We couldn't have asked for better weather.  We had such a nice weekend.

Although the trip up can seem long, I enjoyed watching all different kinds of vehicles and spotting farms along the way.  Plus I watched a movie and played my video game!

I was able to catch a snooze and then enjoyed the movie.

We didn't waste any time getting on the boat once we were at Nana and Papa's.

The best part was swimming at the sandbar, eating pizza at a restaurant on the lake, and driving the boat... fast!  We got off the water just in time before a thunderstorm came.

The next day was better than the first!  We were out on the water early in the morning.  Before we got on the boat, we met the ducks and fed them.

We stopped for morning adult beverages and played games.  I (Jackson) was really good at the pinball machine and Sissy did well with the driving game.  Mom even took a turn playing pinball.

Then we went swimming in the lake at the sandbar.  It was a perfect way to cool off.

Nana and Papa even have a swing that is fun to sit on.

They also have a bridge in their garden.

My favorite part of my trip up North was driving the lawn mower with Papa!  He even let me try the 4-wheeler, too!
