Sissy's 1st Haircut

Sissy got her 1st haircut on Monday. She did great! It was hard for Mom to believe her "baby" needed a haircut already, but I told her we could only let Sissy's mohawk grow for so long! It was time!

She sat very well.

We sure are enjoying our Christmas vacation. We feel so lucky that Mom and Dad have the whole week off together.

We've been enjoying so much family time! Yesterday we had our friends over and celebrated Christmas with them. We always have so much fun with them. Today we went to Monkey Joe's for the first time. It is an indoor play area filled with inflatables. It was a bit crazy, but we had a lot of fun and it really tired us out! You wouldn't believe the tall slides I climbed up and went down. I had a "perma-smile!" Tomorrow we are planning on checking out the public library. Dad has been great about getting me outside every day, too. I enjoy shoveling and eating snow most. Of course when we are inside, we are playing with all our new Christmas presents!

Sissy and I are starting to play together. Mom thinks it's the cutest thing. I am not as fond of it - especially when Sissy takes my toys from me. But deep down I love her and am her protective big brother.

Merry Christmas (Sissy's 1st)!

Merry Christmas! We really enjoyed Sissy's 1st Christmas. We didn't think we'd be able to celebrate it with Mom's family up north, but we did end up going. Sissy and I continue to battle sickness, but we are troopers and are trying to get and stay healthy.


We arrived Christmas Eve and were very excited to see everyone.

On Christmas morning, Santa came! We also opened our gifts from Nana, Papa, Uncle David and Aunt Audrey. Here I am, old enough to enjoy Christmas morning.

Sissy liked the tissue paper and bags more than anything.

Santa brought her an xylophone!

We really had a lot of fun playing with our cousins.

Uncle David played with us, too.

Nana read us my new Sesame Street books.









Of course everyone loved seeing Sissy.

We even went sledding!

After sledding, there was a little more fun to be had...

and then nap time!

And after our nap, we took a long bath.

Cohen and I practiced our "Cheers!"

We came home the day after Christmas and celebrated our family Christmas that evening.

I could get used to this opening present thing! Sissy just loves the tree more than anything!

Sissy would love to have a Christmas tree up year-round.

Here I am reading Good Night San Diego (thank you Uncle Bill). I have quite the collection of Good Night books now (Denver, Boston, San Diego, Beach, and Ocean). When Mom and I read them, she always tells me who lives in those places. I love those books!

Mom and Dad got me an Elmo camera! Say, "Cheese!"

We hope you enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did. We were so lucky to see both Dad's and Mom's family for Christmas (Dad's at Thanksgiving) this year. Now we are enjoying a relaxing winter break. Happy Birthday to Uncle Jihad! We hope you got everything you asked for. It was great to see you on Skype the other night!

Christmas Vacation is HERE!

Ho ho ho! Christmas vacation is here! We are enjoying a relaxing day home before we go to Nana and Papa's tomorrow. Mommy wanted to try to get the blog posted for Ma Mac's weekly Wednesday gathering.

I don't know why, but Mom loves pictures of us in the bath. I told her not everyone wants to see us naked all the time. She said we give the best smiles in the tub because we love baths so much!

Here's a great one of Sissy. You can see that sweet, yet "stinker" side of her.

Here I am opening my Christmas gift from "Auntie Nicole." She get me some Elmo activity books. I love them! Thank you so much! I'm really getting into opening gifts now. You all continue to spoil us with all the gifts you send. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and generous.

Here Sissy is waking me up in the morning. I've begun to enjoy staying in bed a little in the morning to wake up. Some mornings are harder than others to get up! Sissy is always ready to start the day with lots of energy, though!

Last weekend Dad and Mom took Sissy and me to the Children's Museum in Milwaukee. I love that place. There is so much to do! I really enjoyed playing pizza parlor.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much to say that we don't even know where to start.

First, as you can see in the picture, Sissy and I went to see Santa the day before Thanksgiving. Uncle Bill came with us! Although we didn't smile, we didn't cry either. I personally wasn't willing to sit on this stranger's lap... I thought standing next to him was close enough!

The Sunday before I went to my first Christmas parade. It was in downtown Waukesha and I went with Ellie and her mom. What a wonderful parade it was and I had so much fun. We enjoyed a yummy cookie while we waited for it to start. I loved it so much I wouldn't share with Mom. My favorite parts of the parade were the fire trucks and the bands!

We were so lucky to have Daddy's family over for Thanksgiving. Uncle Bill, Grandma Mac, Aunt Kate, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Pam all came to our house! Uncle Bill played with me a lot and took care of Sissy. He is really good at getting her to go to sleep! Sissy really misses you, Uncle Bill, especially at nap and bed times!

Grandpa Mac started getting his grandsons Hess trucks for Christmas. Although I never got to meet him, Grandma has been getting them for me. Mom and Dad had the past couple years' put away, but I got to open them all up! They are my new favorite toys. They light up and make sounds and I constantly play with my "big trucks." Thank you very much, "Ma Mac."

It was the first time we had met Uncle Mike and Aunt Pam. We had so much fun with them! Uncle Mike serenaded Sissy with a couple tunes. The first one was something about a hand on a bible and a gun. It is my cousin Kellyn's favorite song. The next one was McNamara's Band, of course!

Uncle Mike also made Sissy laugh by putting her on top of his head. She would really find his hair to grab and just thought it was hysterical! Maybe it's because Dad doesn't have that much hair to grab?

Here we are... all dressed up for Thanksgiving. We had a delicious meal prepared by "Ma Mac" and Aunt Kate.

We had such a nice time with everyone. Thank you so much for traveling so far to be with us. The time spent with you went too fast!

Nana and Papa spent Thanksgiving at Disney World with Uncle David, Aunt Audrey, Isabella and Cohen. We hear you had a lot of fun and can't wait to see pictures! Thank you Nana and Papa for the souvenirs!

It's hard to believe that Sissy is 9 months old at the end of this month! She has started to pull herself up on everything... and she even took a couple steps this past weekend! Mom and Dad say they are not ready for her to start walking! I say bring it on because I know I'll be faster than her!

We had a little snowfall late Friday night into Saturday. I was excited to go play in the snow outside. I played with my neighbor, Alex. She even gave me a sled ride! I really just prefer to eat the snow.

Dad took me out for a little bit this morning. He put together the sled that "Ma Mac" and Aunt Kate sent. It is one awesome sled! I know Sissy and me will get a lot of use out of it! Thank you so much!

It's really beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house! The last of the decorations were put up this weekend including the tree. We love listening to Christmas music.

Mom and Dad had Sissy and me open a gift that "Ma Mac" and Aunt Kate had brought with them. They were music boxes and we both absolutely loved them. Thank you!

We have more videos to share, but it is time for bed! St. Nick comes tonight, so I need to be in bed asleep!
