Summer Fun

Hello and Happy 4th of July Weekend!  We have been enjoying lots of summer fun!

Along with summer sun and hot weather, comes popsicles...

and picnics at the park!

Sissy fell the other day and got an "owie" on her lip.



She is doing much better now, though!  We hope you enjoy your holiday weekend celebrating the 4th of July!

Fiesta Waukesha

Hi there!  Mom took Sissy and me to the zoo on Friday.  Check out this huge lizard!

You wouldn't believe this, but the blue peacock in the background got SO close to me that its feathers touched me!  All it wanted was a goldfish that I dropped on the ground.  Mom didn't catch that on camera.

We went to Fiesta Waukesha this weekend.  First I rode in the cars.

Right before the ride began, this cute little girl came and sat by me.  There were a bunch of cars open, but she chose to come sit by me.  What do you think attracted her... the glasses?

Turns out she talked too much.  Dad said it's a girl thing.

Then Mom and I rode the balloons!  She thought I would be scared, but no fear here!

While I rode the cars again, Sissy played with a balloon.

Do you like my headband (asks Kendall)?  It was a birthday gift from Uncle Bill!

After the rides, we all enjoyed a snack.  We had nachos, but the best part were the churros!  Yummy!

Sissy loved them, too!

She also enjoyed listening to the music while snacking.

It was the first beautiful weekend we've had after a lot of rain.  We spent as much time outside as we could!

Summer is Here!

Hi there and happy summer!  Dad had to go to San Diego for work, so Mom joined him for a couple days.  Nana and Papa came to babysit and we had so much fun.

Mom and Dad stayed right across from Coronado Island.  They said it was beautiful!

They also saw Uncle Bill.  Here they are visiting a historic lighthouse.

Mom and Dad visited Sea World, too.  They said next time they'd be sure to take us!  Here Dad is holding a starfish from a tide pool.

On their last day in San Diego, Mom and Dad visited the Midway, a retired aircraft carrier that has been instrumental in the United States Navy.  Here Dad is pretending to be in the brig.

Thank you Nana and Papa for taking such wonderful care of us.  Mom and Dad really enjoyed their trip, but were happy to be home, too.  We decided to go to the park Friday to spend some quality family time.

I enjoyed playing by a stream.

Then Sissy and me walked down the same path Mom and Dad had their wedding pictures taken!

Tomorrow's a big day... a day to celebrate the best dad in the whole wide world!

Sunday "Fun Day"

Sunday was just as fun as Saturday!  It was even hotter!  Instead of playing in the pool though, we decided to play in the crazy sprinkler!
Dad finished sanding and staining the swingset.  It looks brand new!  Thank you, Dad, for all your hard work!

I had to wear a different suit, of course.  No fashionista can wear the same suit two days in a row, you know.

There it is!  The crazy sprinkler!  Jackson and I showed no fear.

My brother... he's all boy.  Drinking from the sprinkler... gross.

Our neighbor and friend, Alex, decided to come and join in on the fun!



We are all looking forward to summer.  Bet you are, too!  We have so many plans already.  Jackson and I are taking swimming lessons and are members at the YMCA. We have a zoo pass and we'll be visiting family, too!  We can hardly wait! 

Before we go, we have to wish someone VERY special a VERY Happy Birthday!  Do you know who it is?  Let me give you three clues...

1. He just got an "owie" on his lip and needed 11 stitches!

2. He works for the FBI.

3. He is in the next picture.

Fun in the Sun

Hi!  It's Kendall this time.  I wanted to show you the pictures of us having fun in the sun yesterday!  It was a hot, hot day, so we went to the park in the morning and let the pool warm up.  By afternoon, it was a perfect temperature to play in!

Daddy was having LOTS of "fun" sanding the swingset so it could be stained.  It is going to look brand new when he is all done!

Katie, Chris, Ellie, and Gavin got Jackson water sprayers for his birthday, and we love playing with them!

It was a fun-filled family weekend!  Only 5 more days until SUMMER!
