Ba-bye Summer 2010

Good Morning! We have officially said, "Ba-bye" to summer. What a special summer it has been!

Sissy continues to grow and get bigger each and every day it seems. Here she is folding her hands so nicely.

She loves going for walks in the stroller. I think she would like to get out of her stroller and run around with me at the park, but that will come soon enough!

Her smile is as bright as the sun in the sky. You can't help but smile back!

She likes to take cat naps (gets that from Dad).

And may even fall asleep mid-meal if she's really tired!

She's trying more and more different foods. None of which I want to try - yuck!

Meanwhile... I have really become quite the dare devil. I love to climb at parks. This happens to be the playground I will play at when I am in kindergarten (but Mom doesn't even want to think about that!).

Mom taught me how to swing on my belly!

But my new favorite discovery is the teeter-totter... so cool!

Nana visited a short while back.

One of Mom's students that she tutored this summer gave us stuffed dogs - so thoughtful!

Whenever I can, I play with my Sissy.

Here comes a zerbert!

Dad and Mom play with us all the time, too. Here Dad was making us laugh especially Sissy.

So that's it - summer is officially over. Here is a picture of us on the "second day of school (daycare)." The first day was a little crazy so we didn't get a picture.

Can you tell how much we've changed... just this summer?

Mom says my legs are so long now coming out of that swing! Soon I won't fit in it!

Sissy Rolls!

Hello and happy Friday-almost! Mom starts school a week from today, so we decided to have as much fun today as possible! We started by going on a long walk before it got too hot. We went to a different park than where we normally go. It has a huge alligator there (which I love to say)!

Mom said she wonders where her little boy went. She says I look all grown up in these pictures. I told her that I am almost 2 1/2 (okay, in 3 months I will be).

Don't let the cute smile fool you - stinker is my middle name these days. I find myself quite funny.

While I played and Mom chased me, Sissy took a little cat nap in the shade, but then wanted to see what we were up to.

She is such a mover and just wants to be able to play with me as soon as possible! Here is a video of Sissy rolling over.

I like to entertain Sissy while she's in the jump-a-roo.

And today I tried to share my Cheerios with her, but Mom wouldn't let me. I thought I was being so nice sharing my food, but I guess she's not ready for that. Sissy is only eating her cereal (I call it mush) and she's tried peas, sweet potatoes, and apples. And I thought I was a messy eater!

Sissy loves mirrors, too.

Family Pictures

Hi there! I wanted to share our family pictures that we took today with you.

Play Date Fun

Hi! Hope you are enjoying your week. We have had some fun play dates lately, so we thought we would post some pictures. First there's a short video of us swinging together.

Sissy is so easy to have around. When she gets sick of waiting for something, she will just take a cat nap.

She loves to laugh at me. Here she is laughing at me throwing my hat in the air.

Sissy is old enough to eat solids now! Here she is getting ready for her first bite of rice cereal (yuck!).

Tonight she was all smiles eating her cereal.

And she had a case of the giggles when Mom made silly noises.

Cohen and Uncle David came for a play date. Cohen and I had trouble fitting in my car together.

Elliott and Gavin came over yesterday and we had a blast! Here's Sissy and Gavin hanging out together. Gavin is 6 weeks older than Kendall.

Sissy was flirting with Gavin...

Ellie asked me to sit by her on the couch.

One thing led to another...

Mwwwaaaa!

Week Up North and Water Park Wow!

Hello! Can you believe it is August? Where did June and July go? We had a very fun July. We spent a week at Nana and Papa's when Daddy had to go to Atlanta for work. I drove the boat with Papa.

Sissy's too young to drive, but she sat on the Captain's lap.

Nana and I drove the boat together, too.

Papa made a cool sand castle!

Instead of making sand castles, I prefered running into the water!

While I played in the water, Sissy watched from her special place on the boat.

It was a beautiful day when we were playing in the lake.

Earlier in the week, Papa took us to a really nice park!

Even Sissy got to swing.

One day it was cloudy, so Papa took us to the Children's Museum in town. It was really cool! Here I am in a log cabin. I am pushing a shopping cart. You might be able to see the cuts on my face. I was running in the driveway and took a header. Owie!

The Children's Museum had an ambulance you could play in.

I turned the ambulance lights on!

The museum had a grocery store, too. It was my favorite part.

And at Nana and Papa's, on a rainy day, I had fun pushing Sissy around. I think she had fun, too.

Papa took me on a tractor ride.

And he showed me a big fish he caught.

The girls had a lunch date at Great-Grandma Mary's one afternoon.

To end the week, we went to a family reunion on Papa's side. I had my first ice cream cone - yummy!

Then we stayed in a hotel. There were pools and a waterslide!

I love to swim!

And I love playing with my cousins.

Nana let me jump to her in the pool. I've been practicing that at swim lessons.

Uncle David took me down the waterslide for my first time. I loved it!

We hope everyone is doing well. Happy Birthday to Nana on August 2nd!
