Miss Katie and School

Hello!  We had the best end of summer!  We have so much to share with you.  I've been practicing my softball skills as you can see.

Jackson has been a great teacher and helper.  He shares so well.

I, on the other hand, need to practice my sharing skills.

Now it's Jackson's turn...



Speaking of me, here I am all ready for my preschool orientation!  I love my teachers and am excited for school to officially start for me next week!

Mom and Dad decided to have a childcare provider watch us in our home this year.  Miss Katie has been coming for a couple weeks already and she is AMAZING!  She plans so many fun activities for us and we look forward to spending every day with her.  Hopefully we can get a picture with her soon.  We play puzzles...

We go outside a lot, which we love!

Miss Katie just took us to the library, too!  We had a blast.

Yesterday was SO hot, Miss Katie had us out swimming.

We feel very blessed and lucky to have Miss Katie in our lives, and she is quickly becoming a part of our family.  Before we go, Sissy wanted to share some music with you.  She had been trying for days to play the harmonica, and finally, she figured it out.



Can you tell how proud I was?  We hope everyone has a great week!

We also wanted to mention how happy we were to hear that all of our family members were safe and sound after Hurricane Irene.  We were thinking about you constantly.

Happy Birthday, Dad and More!

First and foremost we need to wish a great, big Happy Birthday to Dad on August 14th!  We are so lucky to have such an amazing dad!

Mom is so lucky to have an amazing hubby!

Mom snapped this picture of me sleeping.  She says I changed from a toddler into a "little boy" over night.

Sissy loves to play with her dolls and stuffed animals.  She especially likes to feed them with bottles.

We occasionally like to watch TV - our favorite show to watch together?  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

Hi there!  It's my turn for once!  Here I am loving my bear and puppy.  I am talking all the time now!

Dad took us to the zoo last week.  The animals were really active and fun to watch.  The lion was roaring!



We love each other very much, but are also equally good at getting on each other's nerves.

On Saturday Nana and Papa were babysitting at Uncle David and Aunt Audrey's, so we went to visit our cousins!  They have a new playset and it is AMAZING!  I loved the monkey bars.

This was a great shot taken by Dad.  I love my cats Ace and Iso.  The question is, "Do they love me?"  I think some days...

This picture pretty much sums up our summer.  ENJOYABLE.  Just like Ace is enjoying the sun and fresh air.

Beautiful Day for the Zoo

It was a beautiful day for the zoo today!  We met our friend Ben and his mom at the zoo.  We fed the goats for the first time this summer.  Sissy loved them!

State Fair

Hello!  Can you believe it is August already?  Time flies when you're having fun... and we are having so much fun this summer!  On this particular day, we were wearing "Chicago Bear" orange.

We went to State Fair last weekend.  It was HOT.  During lunch, Dad had us show support for our favorite college team... UCONN.

We decided since there was no one on the stage, that we would perform our own dance.  The crowd enjoyed our performance.

First we looked at the animals.  You can't go to a fair though, and not try out the rides.  I loved the swings.

And I enjoyed driving the cars.

Listen up... I'm the Sheriff.  And I think summer should NEVER end!  Ever!

I did not enjoy the dragon roller coaster.  Thankfully Mom rode it with me.



Sissy can't wait to be tall enough to ride the rides.  Next year, hopefully (not that we want to wish time away)!

Mom and I drew a train in the driveway yesterday.  It was so cool!

Sissy helped us, too.

I have been trying to help Mom do some cooking in the kitchen.  She was teaching me all the different utensils the other day.  I tried them out - and didn't know Mom was taping.

What better to eat popcorn with then tongs?

We miss you all!  We're looking forward to Nana and Papa visiting soon.  They are going to babysit so Mom and Dad can go out and celebrate Dad's birthday!

Speaking of birthdays... it was Nana's birthday on August 2nd!  Happy Birthday, Nana!

Hi!  Check out this really cool bike!  We went to a park Friday and had a lot of fun riding this bike, looking at the river, and watching the ducks.

We enjoyed swimming lessons, a cookout, and some quality family time this weekend.  It's hard to say that we even got some shoes for school!  We just don't want summer to end.

State Fair starts next week and we are getting excited to see all of the animals!  We'll check back in soon!  Have a great week.
