Happy Birthday Ma Mac!

Happy weekend!  We are enjoying a relaxing weekend here.  Mom was at a conference in Madison Thursday and Friday for work, so we had a couple "Dad Days," which were great!  Then Dad worked this morning, so it was "Mommy Morning!"  Her friend Katie, and her kids Ellie and Gavin came over.  As always it was a fun playdate.

Mom tried putting Sissy's hair in pigtails again earlier this week... bad idea.  Sissy loves her nooks in the morning... she doesn't want to give them up.

Dad took me outside after my nap and we shoveled and I ate snowballs.  While we were outside, Sissy skyped with Nana and Papa.  When we came in from outside, we watched my favorite movie Wall e.  Tonight we skyped Uncle Bill!  It's been a wonderful weekend and we don't want it to end!

This upcoming week has a special birthday in it... Ma Mac's!  Happy birthday Ma Mac!  We love you!

Daddy's Weekend

Hi!  We have just a couple things to share with you.  Mom spent the weekend Up North for Great-Grandma Mary's 85th birthday party.  It was a Dad's weekend and we had a blast!  We got to go shopping at Sam's Club and we played a lot at home!
Tonight we had "noodles" for dinner.  Yummy!  We think Sissy enjoyed them most of all!

She made a mess, but loves people food!

Happy 85th Birthday Great-Grandma Mary!

Hi there!  Here's Sissy loving her "real" food.  Her favorite so far is peas!

And here's Sissy feeling under the weather.  She's had a rough few days, but seems to be getting better now. 

And while Daddy was taking good care of Sissy, Mom took me sledding.  It was a HUGE hill!  Because Mom and I couldn't fit on the sled together, I went by myself!  Although there were a few tears the first run, I couldn't wait to go again.  By the end of our time there, I was smiling like crazy... and tired.  I love going down the hill, but climbing back up is hard work!  Ellie and Gavin were there, too!

Brrrr! It's Cold!

Hi!  Here I am dancing to my favorite song, "I've Got A Feelin'."  That's the most exercise I get these days with the bitter cold weather!  It's too cold to go outside.  We ran errands today, though, and Menards had a child play area.  I loved it!

We haven't taken many pictures this past week as we were busy getting back in to our routine.  Nana and Papa visited yesterday so Mom and Dad could have Date Night.  We had a blast!  Thank you so much!  Maybe they will send their pictures and we will post them soon.

Sissy is now trying to stand and balance on her own.  We will try to catch it on camera soon.

Our new thing that I keep talking about is Skype!  I really like being able to see family members and talk to them!  I talk about them more and more after we are finished.  It's so much fun!

Sissy's 1st Haircut

Sissy got her 1st haircut on Monday. She did great! It was hard for Mom to believe her "baby" needed a haircut already, but I told her we could only let Sissy's mohawk grow for so long! It was time!

She sat very well.

We sure are enjoying our Christmas vacation. We feel so lucky that Mom and Dad have the whole week off together.

We've been enjoying so much family time! Yesterday we had our friends over and celebrated Christmas with them. We always have so much fun with them. Today we went to Monkey Joe's for the first time. It is an indoor play area filled with inflatables. It was a bit crazy, but we had a lot of fun and it really tired us out! You wouldn't believe the tall slides I climbed up and went down. I had a "perma-smile!" Tomorrow we are planning on checking out the public library. Dad has been great about getting me outside every day, too. I enjoy shoveling and eating snow most. Of course when we are inside, we are playing with all our new Christmas presents!

Sissy and I are starting to play together. Mom thinks it's the cutest thing. I am not as fond of it - especially when Sissy takes my toys from me. But deep down I love her and am her protective big brother.

Merry Christmas (Sissy's 1st)!

Merry Christmas! We really enjoyed Sissy's 1st Christmas. We didn't think we'd be able to celebrate it with Mom's family up north, but we did end up going. Sissy and I continue to battle sickness, but we are troopers and are trying to get and stay healthy.


We arrived Christmas Eve and were very excited to see everyone.

On Christmas morning, Santa came! We also opened our gifts from Nana, Papa, Uncle David and Aunt Audrey. Here I am, old enough to enjoy Christmas morning.

Sissy liked the tissue paper and bags more than anything.

Santa brought her an xylophone!

We really had a lot of fun playing with our cousins.

Uncle David played with us, too.

Nana read us my new Sesame Street books.









Of course everyone loved seeing Sissy.

We even went sledding!

After sledding, there was a little more fun to be had...

and then nap time!

And after our nap, we took a long bath.

We came home the day after Christmas and celebrated our family Christmas that evening.

I could get used to this opening present thing! Sissy just loves the tree more than anything!

Sissy would love to have a Christmas tree up year-round.

Here I am reading Good Night San Diego (thank you Uncle Bill). I have quite the collection of Good Night books now (Denver, Boston, San Diego, Beach, and Ocean). When Mom and I read them, she always tells me who lives in those places. I love those books!

Mom and Dad got me an Elmo camera! Say, "Cheese!"

We hope you enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did. We were so lucky to see both Dad's and Mom's family for Christmas (Dad's at Thanksgiving) this year. Now we are enjoying a relaxing winter break. Happy Birthday to Uncle Jihad! We hope you got everything you asked for. It was great to see you on Skype the other night!
