Christmas in July

We thought we would post today. Sissy, Mom and I are going to Nana and Papa's on Sunday for the week. We might not be able to post Sunday, so we are doing it a little early this week. Mom took a couple pictures of us taking a nap the other day. Don't we look like angels?

When we woke up from our naps it was like Christmas in July! Mom saw a For Sale sign on a playhouse at a house by Daddy's work. Dad went to check it out... and came home with 3 awesome outside toys! Check out our new house!

I also now have a John Deer tractor, although I am still learning how to drive.

And now we have a play table that holds water and sand. So cool!

Although Sissy can really only watch from her seat right now, she'll get to enjoy all these toys too, once she's a little older. Thank you SO much Dad. What a great surprise!

We took some pictures together yesterday. Mom said I did a nice job holding Sissy!

Sissy loves to be on her tummy.

While I was napping, Sissy fell asleep in Momma's arms. Mom says she is savoring these moments (like I know what savoring means ?!).

Before long, though, Sissy woke up and when Mom came upstairs to get her, she caught me climbing the crib! Mom said it was dangerous; I said I wanted to see Sissy... Mom won.

Sissy loves me so much! If she's fussing, the minute I show up, she stops. We get along great!

I share with her, too.

My favorite story is Skippy Jon Jones. It is about a cat that looks like Iso. Mom recorded Dad reading it to me last night.

You may have noticed the new kitchen in the background. We'll post video of me enjoying that soon! I love playing with it - the coffee pot gurgles, the fry pan sizzles, and the microwave dings. So much fun!

I continue to practice names and I love to point out colors, too. I enjoy looking at pictures and trying to say family members' names.

Dance! Dance! Dance!

Hello! There's a couple pictures of my Sissy with Daddy's new UCONN pillows from Great-Grandma Mary.

There are some more funny pictures of Sissy after a few videos of my recent silliness. I have really taken to dancing lately.

So Mom put pigtails in Sissy's hair a couple days ago. She thought it looked cute - I thought they looked like TV antennas!

And then after Mom took them out, she had a real bad hair-do!

Today I had a playdate with Ellie at her house. We swam and played outside the whole time! She even gave me her pb and j... well, okay, I took her's when she wasn't looking. But she wasn't eating it and I didn't want it to go to waste! Sorry, Ellie. Thank you for sharing your toys with me.

Happy Birthday to my cousin Sean! I hope you had a great day! Mom and I were looking at pictures the other day and we came across the one with all of our cousins at Dartmouth when Daddy was coaching there. Mom says I sometimes look like you. Can't wait to meet you!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Me and Sissy have had so much fun. We spent the weekend up north at Nana and Papa's. We went to the parade on the 4th and I loved it! Sissy got scared once when the fire truck honked, but I thought it was great!

My Uncle David, Aunt Audrey, and cousins Isabella and Cohen were there, too. I had a blast playing with Cohen. I really miss him - even though we are home I still keep saying his name.

When we got to Nana and Papa's on Friday, we went for a boat ride because the weather was beautiful. Yup - it was Sissy's first boat ride!

Of course Papa let me drive the boat.

Mom and Nana enjoyed the sun!

Great-Grandpa Bob came to visit Friday night. He liked holding his 5th great-grandchild!

On Saturday while I was waiting for my cousins to arrive, I played by the lake.

Mom and Sissy went to visit Great-Grandma Mary in the afternoon and when they got back, my cousins had arrived!

We played in the lake.

Papa had even gotten a slide for us to go down! It was so cool!

Cohen gave me a ride in the boat raft.

Great Grandma-Mary came out to eat pizza with us. Before dinner she watched us play in the lake and snack on yummy chips.

Everyone was enjoying themselves. The weather was perfect!

And after all that fun in the lake, it was time to clean up!

That evening when Great-Grandma Mary was there, she gave Dad his birthday gift. She made him UCONN pillows! Dad was SO happy.

Everyone enjoyed spending time with Kendall... especially Isabella! She held her and even fed her bottles!

All of us cousins played so nicely together and the adults were very impressed.

Thank you Nana and Papa for having all of us at the house for the 4th. We had a wonderful time! I hope all of you enjoyed your holiday weekend and have a good week!

Haaaaappppppyyyy Summer! We are having a blast!

I love kissing my Sissy. I have become a big helper for Mom. I reminded her that Sissy was 3 months old and that she needed to take some pictures of her...

Mom says we're going to get pictures taken later this summer by a camera man, and she'll send some out then.

Earlier this week I caught a little bug and developed a diaper rash. Although it was a bit annoying, I got to run around without any bottoms on! Woo hoo! (Mom and Dad kept me in the backyard where the neighbors couldn't see.)

We have some more pictures, but they really aren't appropriate for here.

Being home with Mom has been great. She says we are getting in bad habits... like sleeping in... but I told her that's what summer is for!

She taught me how to blow bubbles...

And while Sissy practices tummy time,

we practice my colors and play cars!

At the park this morning, Sissy napped...

and I played...

and practiced saying some names. We'll keep practicing!

I am not the only one talking these days... although Sissy has A LOT of practicing to do...

She doesn't have to practice smiling because she does it all the time! Mom and Dad just need to practice getting it on camera!

Happy Father's Day!

I love you, Dad! Happy Father's Day to the BESTest Dad ever!

Dad wasn't happy about this picture - he had been out mowing and grilling and Mom made him take the picture even though he was dirty and smelly. Notice our cool shirts?! Auntie Nicole sent them - mine says "I love my Dad" and Sissy's says "Daddy's Little Princess." Thank you, Auntie Nicole! It was so thoughtful of you. We miss you!

We've had such a nice weekend. On Saturday we enjoyed a perfect day at the zoo. In the late afternoon I had a blast playing in my pool. Saturday night Mom and Dad went out with some friends and I had a new babysitter. I liked her a lot and Kendall and me were really well-behaved for her.

I've been liking the dinosaur exhibit when we go to the zoo.

Sissy is 3 months old! She loves to smile and giggle and try to talk! She also rolled over the other day in her crib.

I've been working on drinking out of a water bottle. Thankfully it was a hot day when I started practicing!

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful Dads, Godfathers, Grandpas, and Great-Grandpa's out there. Hey - you know what? Not only is it Father's Day, but it is Papa's birthday! Happy Birthday, Papa! Can't wait to celebrate it when we see you for the 4th of July. Hope you enjoyed your special day!
