Ma Mac and Aunt Kate visit, Train Fest and More!

Hi there!  We've been very busy lately!  Ma Mac and Aunt Kate came to visit us recently.  We had such a nice visit... it just went too fast!  Dad, Mom, Ma Mac and Aunt Kate went out one night while they were here.  They went to Holy Hill and out to eat dowtown.  I'm sure they had fun, but Sissy and me had more fun at home with Miss Katie.

We had some pretty nice weather while they were here, so we enjoyed some time outside.

Thank you, Ma Mac and Aunt Kate for driving all the way out here to see us and spoil us!  We always have so much fun with you and this trip was no different.

Miss Katie continues to make our days with her exciting and fun.  We just finished a project that is going to be our dinner table's center piece for Thanksgiving!  We took brown paint and shook it up in a cleaned creamer bottle.

Shake, shake, shake!

Although art isn't my favorite activity, Miss Katie's projects always interest me!

Then we painted on some white paper.  Miss Katie cut that up to make them look like feathers and attached them to the creamer bottle.  We don't have a picture of the final project yet... wait until you see!  We'll take a picture soon.

On Sunday, Mom and Dad took us to Train Fest!  It was SO cool!  Nana and Papa were in town, so they met us there, which made it extra special!



There were small trains, big trains, slow trains and fast trains.  This next video is of a really fast train that kind-of surprised me!



I wanted to grab it as you'll see, but most of the trains at Train Fest were, as Mom says, "to look at with your eyes only" not touch with your hands.

We did find some trains that they DID let kids play with!

I was very tired.  Thankfully Papa carried me everywhere.

I had such a nice time with Nana and Papa that I asked if I could go home in their car!

It was a pretty nice day, so we decided to go on a family walk.  I found a pinecone!





There's nothing like spending quality time as a family!  I really look forward to it and often ask, "Today are we spending time as a family?"

We are all looking forward to spending more time as a family with Thanksgiving coming up soon!  It reminds us of how thankful we are for all our family and friends.  We love you all!

Trick-or-Treat!

Trick-or-treat!  Hope you had a Happy Halloween!  We had trick-or-treat on Halloween and went to a few houses in our neighborhood.  It was so much fun!

Before we even began, I found the candy Mom set out on the porch.

I could't resist the candy.  I was drawn to the suckers.

After we went to a couple houses, we decided it was time for a "taste test."



Although Daddy was still not feeling well, he wanted to come along with us.



We continue to have so much fun with Miss Katie.  She is SO good to us!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  On Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo and met some friends!
We had so much fun!  I was a cat.

And as we previewed earlier in the month, I was a fireman!

"Trick-or-treat!"

One of the friends we met at the zoo was Ben.  I went to school with him last year and his mommy works with my mommy.  He was Spiderman.

We had fun finding the alligators in the reptile building!

Here we are all looking at a HUGE turtle!  It's me (Jackson) on the left, then Ben, then Sissy, then Ellie.

It's SO nice to have Dad back home.  He's starting to feel a little better thankfully.  I missed my daddy!

Ellie and I were hoping to see the new lion cubs, but they were sleeping already.  Maybe next time.

Then, as if having Daddy home and going to the zoo didn't make for the best weekend enough... Mom, Jackson and I went to Uncle David and Aunt Audrey's this morning!  We had so much fun playing with Isabella and Cohen and their new dog!

The cherry on the top of our great weekend was getting in to my new comfy robe after my bath!

With Dad being gone for so long, Nana and Papa came to spend some time with us and helped out a lot.  Another big thank you to them for everything they did and for spoiling us!

Daddy's Home!

Daddy went on a long trip for work and he is finally home!  He's been under the weather, but we are just so happy to have him back.  Miss Katie helped us make Daddy a Welcome Home cake!

While Daddy was gone, Nana and Papa came to help!  They spoiled us rotten and we enjoyed every minute of our time together.  Daddy took the camera to Asia with him, so we didn't take too many pictures.

We had Ellie, Gavin and their mom Katie over.  It was a beautiful day, so we played outside most of the time... but the best part was decorating Halloween cupcakes!

I got some new necklaces and bracelets.  Aren't they pretty?  I love putting jewelry on!

I had my Halloween party at school earlier this week.  I was a fire fighter!  We even had a parade.

Miss Katie took a picture of me in my new hat.  Too funny!

I love pumpkins and can't wait to carve mine this weekend!

I also love to tag along and do whatever my brother is doing.  There is no sound and you can tell it was taken with our spare camera. :)

We are looking forward to our upcoming Halloween weekend and spending it with Daddy.  We hope you all have fun trick-or-treating!  We will try not to let so much time go by before our next post!

Fall Fun

Hello!  We continue to have so much fun with Miss Katie.  We have been enjoying the unusually warm weather and playing outside a lot.

Of course there's plenty to do inside, too.

I had some "homework" from school.  I needed to decorate a pumpkin any way I wanted!

Nowadays Kendall has to do the same as me... always.  Sometimes having a little sister can be a little annoying...

At other times, having a sister can be a lot of fun!  It was SO warm this past week that Miss Katie brought out the sprinkler for us to play in!  It brought back fond memories of our summer.

I got my Halloween costume!  Mom and Dad let me try it on.  What do you think?

We went to the Carroll homecoming football game on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day to be outside watching football.

It was a perfect day to play some football.

At half time we explored the area behind the football field.  We found lots of fun things!

We ran and ran and ran.



Hurdling may be in our genes... but we have a lot of work to do. :)

Like brother... like sister...

The Pumpkin Patch

We were all excited to go to Apple Holler today!  Then we arrived... and realized there was one L-O-N-G line, but we made the best of it and had a wonderful time!

I was very patient while we waited.





















We saw a piggy - and it even oinked!

We saw lots of goats and chickens, too!

There was a corn "cave," too!

We had a lot of fun playing.

There was a wooden train there - loved it!

Mom told me to smile... I'll work on it. :)

No holding back any smile here!  This was the pumpkin I picked.  It was heavy!
