Kendall's Baptism and Jackson's Birthday Party

Happy Memorial weekend everyone! We have been very busy. Last weekend was my sissy's baptism and we also celebrated my 2nd birthday. It was a fantastic party! "Auntie Nicole" flew in from Colorado to be Kendall's Godmother; Uncle Bill flew in from California to be Kendall's Godfather; Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate drove from New Jersey; Nana and Papa came; Uncle David and Aunt Audrey and Isabella and Cohen came; Great-Grandma Mary came (who Kendall is named after) and even Mom's Uncle Bill and Aunt Wanda were there. Thank you everyone for traveling to make the day truly special.

What was also special was Kendall's baptism gown. It has been in the Phelan family for 101 years!

Here I am enjoying my yummy chocolate Mickey Mouse birthday cake! The cookout after Kendall's baptism was so much fun. It was a very hot day, but we kept cool by running through a crazy sprinkler.

I got so many wonderful birthday gifts. Thank you very much everyone!

Today Mom and Dad set up a pool for me! We had a blast and it really helped to cool us off on a hot summer day.

Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate are here for two more weeks. They are taking care of Kendall during the day, and will be taking care of both of us the last week they are here. We have been so spoiled with all their help! Kendall has really begun to "talk," especially to Grandma.

Well, it's a big birthday week. My birthday is tomorrow and Aunt Kate's birthday is Tuesday! Uncle Bill's birthday is next Sunday. Happy birthday to everyone!

My sissy sure is getting bigger by the minute. She's 9 weeks old already!

Hello and a late Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing Mommies out there! Sorry we didn't get a chance to post last weekend. It was a very special weekend because Daddy graduated! We are so proud of him! Way to go Dad.

Mom was playing with her hair since she is getting baptized next weekend.

Do you know what else is next weekend? My birthday party! It is a really exciting weekend because a lot of family is going to be here! I can't wait!

A couple weeks ago I had a playdate at my cousin Cohen's. Let me tell you... he has some really cool toys. He even has a John Deer tractor that goes when you press the gas pedal! I loved it! Thanks for sharing all your toys with me Cohen! Can't wait to play with you this weekend.

We also played on the swingset.

Mom went back to work this week and Nana came to babysit. I love reading books with my Nana. I've started to say more words, too.

You might notice in the second video that I am wearing a Packers Aaron Rodgers jersey. Mom wanted to be sure to explain that Uncle Mike sent it to me... she did not buy it. :) Go Bears!

This last video is Kendall practicing her tummy time after her bath tonight. She's getting strong and tries to hold her head up a lot.

Beautiful Days

We have had a couple of windy, but beautiful days here to enjoy being outside! We even went to the park Saturday. Here is a short video of me playing.

Yesterday Dad cleaned out the old sandbox and put all fresh sand in. I had so much fun playing in it! I'm sure we'll have some pictures to share soon.

I continue to be a big helper (most of the time). I even try to put Kendall's nook in her mouth when she's crying.

Here are a couple pictures of her. Mom says she's not fitting in some of her newborn clothes anymore because she's long like me.

Happy 16th Birthday to my cousin Alex! Congratulations to my cousin Sean on making his First Communion! Dad graduates from Grad School next Sunday - yeah!

Nana's Visit

Nana and Papa came to visit this week. Papa stayed for a little bit and then went to Uncle David and Aunt Audrey's to help build a shed. Nana stayed here and helped Mom paint the dining room and living room. It looks so nice. I really liked reading books with Nana at night.



I enjoyed playing with my sister Kendall on Saturday night. I was sharing my couch with her. I just want to snuggle with her as much as possible!

The flu bug bit me today, but I am starting to feel better. I will enjoy a relaxing day home with Mom and Kendall tomorrow, though.

There are a lot of birthday wishes we want to send out this week! Happy Birthday to my cousin Connor; Mom's friend and Kendall's soon-to-be Godmother Nicole; Mom's Uncle Bill; and Mom's teaching partner and dear friend Amy. May all your wishes come true!

Can you believe Kendall is already a month old? Time is going by so fast.

Dance!

Hotdog, hotdog, hot diggity dog! Hi there! I am singing one of my favorite songs - the Hotdog Song from Mickey Mouse. I enjoy it so much, I often like dancing to it.

As you can see, I am using some of Dad's dance moves. Don't worry, though... Mom is working with me.

There's Kendall wearing her first headband. Her hair is so long -it sticks up higher than mine!

She wasn't very happy here. Come to think of it, she really isn't ever happy when she's getting her diaper changed. Can you blame her? I mean, I am almost 2 and I STILL fuss when I get my diaper changed... much to Mom and Dad's dismay.

She got her first big girl bath and did really well!

Isn't this a nice bench? Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate sent it to me for my birthday! Want to know what the coolest thing is? It converts from this bench to a kid picnic table! It just unfolds and becomes a picnic table - it's like magic! Thank you very much Grandma and Aunt Kate! We plan on eating outside as much as we can - then it doesn't matter if I make a mess!

Speaking of outside... when Nana was here not too long ago, she played with me and taught me how to go up the stairs of my playhouse and then down the slide. Well, Nana, now I actually sit down by myself instead of lunging myself into the air for you to catch me!

I love playing outside on my swingset. I could swing all day long. I also like to pet my cats. Iso has been near me more lately because he likes to go inside my tractor/tent. Before Mom started recording this, I was petting Iso so nicely. But once she got the camera, he moved.

The last picture we have is of Kendall tonight. She was sleeping in Dad's arms with her finger in her mouth! It looked kind of silly, so we decided to take a picture.

Can you believe Mom's maternity leave is 1/2 over already? Three weeks have gone by so fast. Thankfully summer will be here before we know it! I can hardly wait!

Spring Break

Hi there! Above is a short video of me being such a good big brother. Kendall was in her swing and I was watching over her. I am becoming a little more interested in her and getting better at sharing Mom and Dad.

Dad gave Kendall her first bottle this week. So far she has been a very good eater!

This week I was on Spring Break, so I have been home with Mom and Dad all week. Dad took most of the week off, so we enjoyed a lot of family time together. Most of the week was awful weather, but the last two days have been beautiful. We've spent a lot of time outside. I even went to my favorite park today! Also, I wanted to tell you about my friend Alex. She is a neighbor girl. Although she is 6 and in kindergarten, she loves to play with me. She comes over whenever she sees me outside.

With me being home for break this week, I had a few playdates. Aunt Audrey and my cousins Isabella and Cohen came over at the beginning of the week. In the middle of the week Mom, Kendall, and I went to my friend Elliott's house. She enjoyed holding Kendall.

On Friday, Elliott, her brother Gavin, and her parents came over. They brought us a yummy dinner to eat. They also brought a gift for Kendall and me! When I go to Elliott's house, I love playing in her tent. Well, Elliott's mom and dad got me a tractor to play in and I absolutely love it!

I love to bring a bunch of books in there and read them! Thank you SO much Chris and Katie for the tractor! Happy Birthday, again, to Elliott!

On Saturday, Nana and Papa stopped by because they were in the area. It was so nice to see them again. Can't wait to see you again soon!

Today was a big day. The Flyers won, so now they are in the playoffs. Kendall's not much of a hockey fan yet... she fell asleep during the most exciting part of the hockey game.

The Yankees won, too, so Dad was real happy today. Not to mention I was sporting UCONN gear.

Dad took a picture of the diaper cake Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate sent Kendall. It is really cool!

Thank you very much for the special gift Grandma and Aunt Kate! Mom and Dad said you will be here before I know it! Can't wait!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We are enjoying a relaxing weekend at home. Kendall is doing well. Mom and Dad even let me hold her!

The Easter Bunny stopped by my house, and it left me an Easter basket!

After I went through my basket, I had my first Easter egg hunt in my house! I found all the eggs. Each egg had something yummy in it, like Teddy Grahams, raisins, vanilla wafers, or animal crackers. As I opened the eggs, I ate the yummies inside.

Auntie Kady sent me an Easter basket. Thank you so much, Auntie Kady. It is full of yummy treats.

We have had some really nice days here. It has been windy, but at least it's been warmer. Dad has been great about playing with me outside. We swing, go down the slide, push the strollers around, push the lawnmower, and play with sidewalk chalk. We can't wait until Kendall gets a little older and it isn't so windy so we can all go on family walks.

With the warmer weather, some flowers have been blooming around our house. It is exciting to see what has been planted before we moved in. I started to pull the flowers off, but Dad told me I am not supposed to do that.

We also have some new flowers to plant. Auntie Kady sent flowers to Kendall that are beautiful! Kendall says thank you!

Uncle Bill also sent some lovely flowers to Kendall in my favorite flower pot! I love duckies. Thank you very much Uncle Bill!

I continue to be a great big brother to Kendall. I try to help as much as I can. I am doing really well sharing Mom and Dad.

I remind Mommy to give Kendall her important tummy time. She already tries to hold her head up.

I check on Kendall when she is sleeping. By the way... do you notice she sleeps with her mouth wide open? Dad says she sleeps just like Grandma Mac.
