Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Here I am earlier today getting my costume on. I was a cheetah for Halloween!

It was very cold and windy out today, so we only went to a couple of our neighbors' houses. We are all still recovering from being sick, too, so we kept it low-key. Not to mention I wasn't too happy about being strapped in a stroller. I wanted to run around and do my own thing!

You can tell I wasn't happy. But then...

I go to do what I wanted to do - run around - and I was much happier!

I didn't even care about getting candy. Mom eats it anyway. It was nice to see some of our neighbors, though. We were even invited to a Halloween party! We said no thanks, though, because we don't want to get anyone else sick.

Here are the pumpkins Mom and Dad carved. Mom's is on the left and Dad's is on the right. They sure looked great all lit up tonight!

Even though I was a cheetah tonight, I really like to make monkey sounds. Dad is the best at it, but I am trying hard to sound like him.

Feeling Better

Hi there! This picture was taken before I got sick. Mom just thought I looked so cute in my first turtleneck, she kept taking pictures. There's footballs and football helmets all over it.

This past week was a little rough for me, but I am feeling so much better. I ended up getting a double ear infection and beginning pneumonia. Mom and Dad took turns taking off work to stay home with me all week. Thanks for taking such good care of me!

My medecine is making me feel like myself again. I even left the house today for the first time in a long time (except for going to the doctor). I did manage to enjoy a nap on Daddy, though, before we left. Sorry UCONN didn't win today, Dad. I was dreaming during the game that they did pull out a victory, but guess I was wrong.

Last weekend Nana and Papa came to visit. They helped Mom and Dad A LOT! They helped paint the pink and purple room. It's a khaki color now. We're excited to decorate it for the new baby. Here's a couple "before" pictures...

Yikes! A little bright, don't you think? We'll have "after" pictures soon. Thanks for your help Nana and Papa! I still like peeking through the cat door when Mom is coming up from the basement. It was so nice to see you!

My new thing is playing with the laundry basket. I like picking up the big basket and I even like to crawl into it. Mom is hoping I like to do laundry when I am a bit older.

Dad got me a new swing for my swingset today! I didn't stay outside long, but I did try it out. I love it and hope I can use it a few more times before the seasons change. I also got a popper. I really like to push things around the house.

Big news! I am holding my bottle on my own now! Little does Mom and Dad know that I have been MORE than capable to do so for a long time, but now I am just choosing to do it. You should hear them cheer when I hold it myself. It's hilarious. Sometimes I hold it up to my mouth just to hear those two clowns praise me. He he he.

Mom and Dad were going to have a pumpkin carving contest tonight, but ended up deciding to wait until tomorrow. They brought the pumpkins in from outside, so I had some fun exploring them. I tried to pick one up, but it was too heavy! I can't wait until I am old enough to help carve.

Next weekend I am going trick-or-treating for the first time. We are just going to a couple neighbors' houses and then to some of Mom and Dad friends'. I am excited to dress up in my costume! You'll have to wait and see what I am going to be. We'll post pictures next weekend.

Sending happy thoughts to Nana. She hit a deer this past week and wrecked her car. Don't worry, Nana. When I am driving my car in the kitchen, I hit things all the time. The important thing to remember is that you didn't get hurt.

Get Well Great-Grandma Mary

Hey there! After running some errands with Mom and Dad today, I did some running of my own in my backyard! I especially enjoyed exploring my new sandbox. We are going to get a swing I can go in real soon. Can't wait!

Here's a short video of me playing with red bucket that hangs from my playhouse. It is on a pulley, so I didn't quite understand why I couldn't take the bucket with me. I had fun in any case.

Nana and Papa are coming next weekend. Nana is going to help Mom paint the pink and purple room in the house while Dad is at school. I am sleeping in that room until the baby comes. Then I will have my own room on the main floor. Did you know I am going to find out if I am going to have a brother or sister on November 2nd? I am. It's exciting! Either way, I am going to be the best big brother.

I wanted to send some well wishes to my Great-Grandma Mary. She fell and broke a bone in her foot and I hope she feels better soon! I miss you Great-Grandma and love you very much!

My First Parade

Hi! I went to my first parade today. It was for Carroll's homecoming and Daddy was the Grand Marshal! It was a chilly fall day.

I enjoyed a snack while I waited. It was hard to eat with my poofy winter coat on. I feel like Ralphy from A Christmas Story in it.

I went to the football game for just a little bit. It was chilly! Then I went home and took a hot bath. I love bath time.

I really like my new house. Mom and Dad have been working hard at unpacking. Things are coming together - one box at a time. Dad took me to get a haircut today, too. Thanks, Dad! I know Auntie Kady's birthday is coming up soon. Happy birthday, Auntie Kady! Have a great week everyone!

Last Post from the Townhouse!

Hi there! This will be my last post from the townhouse! Next time I'll have pictures of me in my new house!

We are finishing packing the last boxes. I have been a big helper. I love to lift big, empty boxes. I also like to take things out of boxes that Mom's packed, but hasn't taped, yet.

Toward the end of last week I started feeling under the weather. Turns out I got to experience croup for the first time. Dad says I sounded like a seal with my cough. I've had some ups and downs with this whole croup thing, but I think I am getting better.

Here's my new couch from Nana and Papa. It unfolds like a sofa bed! It will be perfect on the hardwood floors in the new family room when I am watching the "Boob Tube" - that's what Grandma Mac calls the TV. I am already getting good use out of it, especially since I have been taking it easy lately. Thank you SO much Nana and Papa!

Well, it's off to bed for some much-needed rest. We may not post this weekend due to the move, but we'll keep in touch and post again soon.

Way to go Bears!

Way to go Bears! I cheered them on with my shiner and all. Nana and Papa took such good care of me this weekend while Mom and Dad were in Boston. Within two hours of Mom's watch, I get a nasty shiner. Mom says boys will be boys. Nana says she's glad it didn't happen on her watch.

This morning Mom let me play with toilet paper (clean) while she was packing for the move. I had so much fun tearing it up and making a mess.
I think she felt bad because of my owie.

So we all know this blog is supposed to be all about me, but I have to tell you about my Uncle Mike's wedding that Mom and Dad went to. I wasn't able to go, which was fine because I had a blast with my Nana and Papa, but how can I not share about my uncle's wedding at Fenway Park?

Mom and Dad said it was amazing - as amazing as my new Aunt Pam, who I can't wait to meet! Here are some pictures of the big event:

The day of the wedding, Mom and Dad went for a walk with Grandma Mac, Aunt Kate, Aunt Kady, and Uncle Bill. They went to where Cheers was filmed. I guess it was a hit TV show from before I was born. Dad just keeps on saying that nobody knew his name.

Here's Mom and Dad before the ceremony at Fenway! They said there was a Green Monster in the background, but I assured Mom and Dad that there is no such thing as monsters.

Jackson Wants to Tell You Something

Happy Saturday! Sorry it has been awhile. I have been anxiously waiting to tell you something...

So we are all very excited! Lots of excitement going on in our house lately. Last weekend Mom and Dad bought a new washer and dryer for the new house. We grabbed lunch at Steak n Shake. Well, we tried. I was ready for my nap, so we got our lunch to go. I did wear my Steak n Shake hat for a quick picture, though.

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather. Dad is really great about taking me out to parks in the mornings so Mom can pack.

This morning, though, Dad took me to the zoo! We know the layout like the back of our hands now.

Thanks, Dad, for the fun morning! Then we grilled burgers for lunch and watched the UCONN game. You know what? UCONN did great! Until the very end... but up to that point, we really enjoyed watching! After my nap we went to the park as a family. I want to do everything by myself now, but I just need to hold someone's hand when I walk down stairs. The park has so many places to climb and I even go down the slide all by myself.

Next weekend, Uncle Mike is getting MARRIED! At Fenway Park! Mom and Dad are flying to Boston and Nana and Papa are coming to stay with me. I can't wait to have a fun weekend with my Nana and Papa!
