Daddy's Owie

Hi! I have lots of news to share. First, my daddy has an owie. He broke his Achilles Tendon. The ER Doc said, "Welcome to the Old Man's Club." I am not sure what that exactly means, but I think it's pretty cool that Dad is in a club. I know after Doc said that, Mom let out a good laugh.

Fortunately, my Nana was planning on staying with me Monday because Robyn had taken the day off for her son's birthday. She ended up staying until this morning, which was SO much help. She took me to the park everyday. I really love to swing!

Thanks for taking such good care of me, Nana, and helping Mom with Daddy's owie. I had so much fun with you!

Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate are coming to visit! My daddy must be one special guy to have Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate drive all the way from New Jersey to come see him. Please drive safe and I can't wait to see you both next Wednesday!

The other big news I have to share is that not only am I really crawling now, but I am pulling myself up, too! You can watch me on the video below.

Today was Sports Day at Mommy's school, so we dressed in Chicago Bears colors.

Mom's Grad School

Mom is supposed to bring in some pictures to share with her class on Wednesday night. She thought it might be easier to just post them on here!

My Uncle Bill, Uncle Mike, Uncle Pete, and Aunt Kady are all Dad's siblings.

I have two brothers - Ace and Iso (Bengal/Abyssinian/Siamese mix) - they also came before me.

Here is a picture of me, Mom, Dad, Uncle David, Aunt Audrey, and my cousins Isabella and Cohen.

These are my cousins on Mom's side (Isabella and Cohen). I have nine cousins on Dad's side.

Here's my Nana and Papa with their grandchildren. They live in Eagle River, Wisconsin. I can't wait to go boating this summer.

Here's my Grandma Mac and Aunt Kate. They live in New Jersey really close to the shore. I am looking forward to our vacation there this summer!

Rainy Days

Hello! Did you remember to set your clocks ahead today? It's the latest I have slept in a long time (due to the time change). Another gloomy, rainy day today. We were planning on going to the zoo yesterday, but the weather did not cooperate. However, Friday was a beautiful day and Mom and Dad took me for a walk.

I am getting a little tired of being "bundled" all the time and I can't wait to start going to the park to swing. We are lucky that we live by two parks.

Ace and Iso have been keeping me entertained. I am getting quicker, but they are still too fast for me to catch. Iso has begun to sleep in my room when I am napping. He likes to be near anyone that is resting.

Mom took some pictures of me in the bathtub. I can't wait to tell Dad when I know the words how much I appreciate his hair and hairline.

My favorite game to play is peek-a-boo. I really like playing pat-a-cake with Mom, too. The other night she took some pictures of me in my pjs because she loved them so much. I bet you'll see why...

It may be hard to see, but it says, "Mom's Hero."

Mom wants to keep the blog as a keepsake for me, so she put a video on of us playing pat-a-cake (above).
This is the best video to end on. Mom and Dad just love my laugh, and here's a good video of me doing just that. Mom was slurping her cereal, and I just got the biggest kick out of it!

I hope you have a great week. Next weekend Dad has school and Nana is coming to visit on Sunday. Robyn, my sitter, took Monday off, so Nana gets to babysit me Monday! I can't wait to play!

Nine Months Old

Well, it's official. I am 9 months old! Doc said I am doing well. My two front teeth should be popping through anytime and I am going to be tall.

Mom took some pictures of me and Dad was good at making me laugh.

This hat was from Uncle Mike's friend, Skip. Dad tells me Grandpa Mac was a big Red Sox fan.

I didn't like the "fishing" hat. Dad said I'll have to wear it at Grandma's this summer when we go to the beach.

Mom and Dad both said that with my ball cap on, I resemble my cousin Sean when he was a baby.

The next one Mom wanted to share with you because I am really starting to baby talk. It isn't the best, but gives you an idea. I was skeptical of the sweet potato.

We are hoping the weather cooperates next Saturday because Mom and Dad would like to go to the zoo. I hope everyone has a great week. Happy Birthday to my cousin Emmett! I can't wait until the next time I get to see you. I had so much fun playing with you at Christmas!

A Busy, Snowy Weekend

Hi there! We had a busy, snowy weekend! Mom was supposed to go to Chicago Friday, but wasn't feeling well and the weather man was predicting some major snow. Happy Birthday Mandi and Maggie. I hope I get to meet you soon!

Well, we did get that snow - at least 6 inches of it. Mom and I braved the snowstorm Saturday to go to Aunt Audrey's party. It was so good to see my cousins Isabella and Cohen, Aunt Audrey, Nana, and cousin Kathy. Dad had grad school all weekend.

Today Mom's friend, Kim, came to visit. She's having a baby in August. It was really great to see her again. When Dad got home we ran a couple errands.

I continue to love eating! Today I tried fresh pear, a blueberry, broccoli, and cauliflower! I also love cheese and bread. I enjoy moving around as much as I can. The army crawl works well for me for now.

Happy Valentine's Day

Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day one day late! Dad grilled steak last night and Mom said it was delicious. I tried a real peach and real sweet potatoes - yummy! I really like wheat bagels, too. I am an eating machine these days.

This picture is from last weekend. It was a little warmer than usual, so Mom and Dad bundled me up and took me for a short walk. I think we are all counting down the days until spring.

The video below is a little snapshot of how talkative I am these days. Yesterday when we all went to the grocery store, Dad didn't even have to ask Mom which aisle she was in... he just had to follow my voice! Can you believe I am almost 9 months old already?

I am still trying to crawl. I get a little frustrated because I know I want to go somewhere, I just can't seem to go at the pace I want to, yet. Mom and Dad are thankful for that so far.

We were able to get a couple videos of me eating my breakfast this morning. The first one you'll notice I am not too fond of the cereal.

Since I didn't eat much of my cereal, I enjoyed a few bites of a wheat bagel. Dad was playing peek-a-boo with me, too, so I was a little distracted.

Good Morning! Today is Great-Grandpa Bob's birthday. Happy Birthday, Great-Grandpa! I hope you enjoy your special day! I am thinking of you.

What a beautiful weekend it has been. It was in the high 40s and sunny yesterday, but windy. Dad took me for some errands while Mom got her hair done. Last night, Mom and Dad had our neighbors over for dinner. I was scared of people I have never met, but Mom and Dad said overall I behaved well.

We may run some errands today as it is supposed to be sunny and mild (compared to recent temperatures) again. We need to get a couple gates because I am becoming a "moving man" fast!

Recently my favorite things to do include "scooching" around, feeding myself, having a pillow fight with Dad, and of course, playing peek-a-boo.

I can't wait until I can throw pillows back at Daddy.
